Irina Razmadze worked in graphic arts, book illustration and theater design. She graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, at the Department of Graphic Arts. Her teachers were I. Charlemagne, A. Tsimakuridze, V. Krotkov, S. Kobuladze, D. Kutateladze. She illustrated more than 200 books, about 400 musical works and created many movie posters. The sharp eye of an illustrator can be felt in the works of Irina Razmadze, made with a light graphic style. Well-ordered, well-resolved compositions always tell us about people and indicate their existence. The landscape with Irina Razmadze is not so much a representation of nature as a reflection of human influence on it.
I. Razmadze’s works are preserved in Georgian National Gallery, Georgian National Museum, the Ilia Chavchavadze Museum in Saguramo, the Telavi Historical Museum; In the Cameron Gallery of the Hermitage, as well as in Russian Museum (Petersburg), in A.Pushkin Museum (Moscow), in the Engraving Department of the Public Library (Moscow), in the Shushenskoye Ethnographical Museum; and also – in private collections of Georgia and Russia.
