Romuald (Roma) Tsukhishvili graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Faculty of Applied Arts with the specialty of ceramic artist (teachers: Sergo Kobuladze, Vakhtang Japaridze Giorgi Sesiashvili, Revaz Iashvili) in 1963. 1963-1966 He worked in the Art and Design Bureau, then as a restorer in the Fine Art Museum of Georgia; In 1970, he graduated from the post-graduate course of TSSA-II and started working there as a teacher.
In 1981-1984, on a secondment from the Ministry of Culture of Georgia, he worked at one of the art schools in Mozambique, where he founded the ceramics department. In 1978, for the best work of the year – Old Tbilisi, he was awarded the medal of the Union of Artists of Georgia. In 1997, he was awarded an honorary prize at the international ceramics festival held in Annaberg-Buchholz, Germany. In 2004 St. At the Christmas Festival of Fine and Applied Arts in Tbilisi, he received the first prize. The artist’s works are preserved in the National Gallery of Georgia.
