Temo Machavariani was born on May 16, 1944, in Tbilisi. In 1975 he graduated from Tbilisi State Arts Academy, Faculty of Fine Arts. In 1978-81 he worked in the creative workshop at Tbilisi Fine Arts Academy. Since 1970, he has actively participated in exhibitions both in Georgia and in the countries of the Soviet Union. In 1990, his works were exhibited at the exhibition of Georgian artists in Spain (Barcelona). In 2000s he had exhibitions in London, Yerevan, Baku. His works are preserved in the National Gallery of Georgia and private collections of different countries of the world (USA, France, England, Azerbaijan). In 2010, he received the National Award of Georgia.
