Mzia Dedanashvili studied at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1961-1967, at The Faculty of Graphic Art. In 1968-1970, she worked at the Department of Graphic Geometry of the Academy of Arts. In 1972-1991, she was an artist-illustrator at the publishing house ‘Merani’. Since 1982, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of Georgia.
In 2001, her personal exhibition “Small-sized Graphics—Ex-Libris” was held at the Designers’ Exhibition Hall, Tbilisi, Georgia. She participated in a number of local and international exhibitions, both in Georgia and abroad: “Georgian Etching”, Tbilisi History Museum “Karvasla”, Georgia, 1999; “Greece in Contemporary Georgian Art”, Tbilisi, Georgia, 1998; “Georgian Art”, Belgium, France, 1993; “Fine Art of Georgia”, Moscow, Russia, 1987; “Biennale of Artists of the Transcaucasian Republics”, Tbilisi, Georgia, 1986; “Georgian Soviet Illustration and Print”, Tbilisi, Georgia, 1979; Union Exhibition of Diploma Works, Russia, Italy, 1967.
The artist’s works are preserved in the Art Fund of Georgia, the Georgian National Museum – National Gallery, the Georgian National Museum – Fine Arts Museum, the Fund of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia, private collections in Georgia and abroad.
