In 1936-1940 Ekaterine Bagdavadze studied on faculty of Fine Art at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. She graduated from the faculty of painting in 1946. From 1948 she was a member of the Artists Union in Georgia. Ekaterine Bagdavadze was working in magazine “Nakaduli” as a main editor in 1948-1953. During 1966-1975 she was teaching painting and composition at Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Art Public Professions. She is an honored artist of Georgia. In 1960 she got a special award of honored public figure in Arts. She was given a special order for her role in developing Georgian Art in 1958. Artworks by Ekaterine Bagdavadze are stored in different museums in Georgia (Georgian National Museum, Tbilisi; G. Leonidze State Museum of Georgian Literature, Ambrolauri Fine Arts Museum, etc.) and in private collection
