In 1968-1974 Avtandil Monaselidze studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts (teachers: Valentin Topuridze, Gogi Ochiauri). The main works of the artist are: The Queen of the Fields (1975. Bronze), Chiron and Orpheus (1988. Bronze), the multi-figure composition Berikaoba (1991. Bronze. Tbilisi), the Varketili Metro Entrance (1986), the relief for the lobby of Tbilisi Airport… The sculptor has received several Awards: silver medal at the Biennale of Transcaucasian Republics (1986), silver medal at Paris International Exhibition (1984); Georgian Union of Artists medal, for the best work of the year (1980). His sculptures are preserved in the National Gallery of Georgia, Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), art funds of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the former Art Fund of Georgia and private collections.
