Minashvili Tamar

Tamar Minashvili was born in 1964 in Tbilisi. In 1980-1984, she studied at the school of Jacob Nikoladze and was Elene Akhvlediani scholarship holder. After graduating the school, in the same year she entered Tbilisi Apollon Kutateladze Fine Arts Academy. In 1991-1993, she completed a post-graduate course (now a doctorate) specializing in book illustration, and from 1995 she started working as a drawing and painting teacher at the Faculty of Architecture at the Department of Monumental Art at the Academy of Arts. Since 1997, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of Georgia. Since 2009, she has been a professor of painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. Every year she participates in various exhibitions in Georgia and abroad: in France, Italy, USA, Romania, Iran, Lithuania, etc. Tamar Minashvili successfully participates in various artistic projects both in Georgia and abroad: Transylvania (2011), Rashnov (Romania) (2012); International Art Symposium held in Gallipoli (Southern Italy) under the auspices of UNESCO (2013); at the International Art Symposium organized under the auspices of UNESCO in Bukovina (Romania) (2014); Exhibition in Paris – “From Petraut to Paris” (2017); Exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Georgian and Latvian independence in Riga (2018); Charity exhibition dedicated to the war in Ukraine ARTIST FOR UKRAINE at Tbilisi State Art Academy and others (2022).
