In 1965-1971, Mzia Japaridze studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, majoring in graphic arts; Later – at the graphic arts workshop of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. Her teachers were Lado Grigolia and Dinara Nodia. She is a member of the Union of Artists of Georgia. Her works are preserved in the National Gallery of Georgia, in private collections of Georgia, Japan and Russia.
