Vakhtang Gulisashvili, a painter, graphic artist, decorator, and metal engraver, studied at the painting department of the Tbilisi Academy of Arts from 1960 to 1965 under the guidance of Ucha Japaridze and Sergo Kobuladze.
The artist created significant works for the House of Culture in Bichvinta and the Hotel Mozhaisk in Moscow. His works are preserved in the Georgian National Gallery and private collections.
