Albert Dilbarian was born in Tbilisi in 1928. He was a painter who studied at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in the Department of Painting from 1946 to 1952. His oeuvre, which includes portraits, still lifes, landscape, and genre paintings, is distinguished by original narrative compositions, painterly texture, and an emotional comprehension of the theme. Dilbarian actively participated in exhibitions in Georgia and abroad, including in Paris in 1963, where his works were exhibited. In 1967, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Georgia. His works are preserved in museums: the Georgian National Museum of Fine Arts (Tbilisi), the Museum of Modern Art (Yerevan, Armenia), the National Gallery (Tbilisi, Georgia), the Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow, Russia), the New Jersey Museum of Art (USA), as well as in private collections in Georgia and abroad.
