Rokhlina-Schlesinger Vera

Vera Rokhlina-Schlesinger (1896-1934) – Russian and French painter, representative of the Paris school. She studied in Kyiv with Alexandra Exter. She is an interesting modernist artist. In 1919-1920, she lived in Tbilisi, and participated in exhibitions organized in the National Gallery. She has made paintings and graphic works on the theme of Tbilisi. In 1920, she moved to Paris. Participated in independent and autumn salon exhibitions in Paris.
Vera Rokhlina’s painting Card Players sold for £2,057,000 at Christie’s in 2008. In 2023, the National Museum of Georgia purchaised her works.
