Mamaladze Ioram

In 1926-1928, Yoram Mamaladze studied at the art studio of Moses Toidze, and in 1928-1932 at the Tbilisi State Art Academy. He was G. Gabashvili and V. Lancere student. In 1940-1945, he worked as a teacher in the Tbilisi Art School, in 1945-1948 in the Art Industrial School, and in 1959-1966 – at the Tbilisi State Art Academy. The main theme of his work is the landscapes of Georgia. He has created outstanding social realist works: Pheromagnesium Factory (1937), Pioneers in Imereti Village (1947). He is the author of several textbooks on painting and perspective. His works are preserved in the funds of the National Gallery of the Georgian National Museum and the Ethnographical Museum of Zestafoni.
