Ceramic artist and fashion designer Irina Elistratova-Asatiani studied ceramics at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts from 1968 to 1973. After graduation, she continued her studies in the creative workshop of the USSR Academy of Arts under Vasili Shukhaev, Romuald Tsukhishvili, and Amir Kakabadze.
Among her notable works are a series of decorative black ceramic vases (1986), a series titled Antique Ceramics (1998), as well as fashion design pieces such as collections of women’s formal evening dresses.
Her works are preserved in private collections, the Georgian National Gallery, and the collection of the Artists’ Union of Hungary.
