Bakradze Medea

Set and film production designer, Medea Bakradze, graduated from the Tbilisi Academy of Arts in 1973 with a qualification in set design.

She joined the Georgian Artists’ Union in 1977 and, in 1985 became a member of the Georgian Union of Filmmakers. Bakradze has worked extensively in cinema production and costume design, creating costumes for well-known films such as The Melodies of the Vera Quarter (1973), Pastorale (1979), Blue Mountains, or Unbelievable Story (1984), In Bloom (2013), for which she was awarded the Belgian Move Festival prize, and My Happy Family (2017).

Bakradze works both in Georgia and abroad. Her works are preserved in private collections and the Georgian National Gallery.
