Givi Toidze belongs to that generation of artists, who actively appeared on easel painting area in the sixties of the twentieth century. His creativity perfectly reflects the considerable progress, occurring at that time. Givi Toidze cognized in the workshop of his grandfather, outstanding Georgian artist Mose Toidze, where the talent of the young artist was matured. Themes of his art are diverse: old Tbilisi, landscapes of Georgia and different cities of the world, still lives, portraits, genre painting, multifigure compositions and monumental painting.
