SUMMARY:Opening of the Shalva Amiranashvili State Museum of Arts of Georgia
DESCRIPTION:Buba Arabuli\, At the Boundary of Time and Space \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n On April 30\, 2026\, at 18:00\, the personal exhibition of Buba Arabuli titled “At the Boundary of Time and Space” opened at the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery. \nThe exposition brings together the artist’s paintings (figures\, objects\, and landscapes). The main themes of the exhibition are based on that intermediate state when everyday life transforms into inner experience. The artist invites the viewer to an imaginary boundary passing between time and space\, where emotion acquires a new frequency and symbol acquires a different meaning. The works do not offer a linear narrative; they are semiotic signs connected to memory\, uncertain expectation\, and vague\, almost unconscious experience. \nBuba Arabuli belongs to the generation of artists whose creative activity coincides with the beginning of the 21st century and initiates a new stage in contemporary Georgian painting. He is completely free from ideological frameworks and builds his art on personal experience\, individual worldview\, and inspiration. \nFrom 1986 to 1990\, he studied at the Iakob Nikoladze Art School. In 1996\, he graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts\, Faculty of Fine Arts\, majoring in painting. \nThe artist’s works are kept in private collections in various countries — Georgia\, Germany\, France\, Spain\, Lithuania\, Belgium\, Romania\, Russia\, and the United States. \nOrganizer: Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery  Curator: Magda Guruli
